A Farmweld Jumbo Feeder will pay for itself
in reduced sort losses within 3 years, according to Kansas State
University research. Researchers calculate reduced sort loss means
$113.00 per feeder per year, or 84 cents per pig assuming 50 pigs
per feeder in a traditional system with 2.7 turns per year.
With solid dividers, hogs finish more uniformly
- they can't see each other so there's less fighting, fewer injuries
and less trim loss. Submisive hogs keep pace with more aggressive
pen mates.

The best choice for wean-to-finish
or conventional finishing systems where hogs as small as 7#
(3.18 kg) to as large as 280# (127 kg) are housed.
Early-weaned
pigs in wean-to-finish barns take off quickly with the Farmweld
Jumbo Feeder. The low, 4 3/4" (121 mm) front lip and wide feed spaces
provide for good feed access and minimum waste. Baby pigs often
share a feeding space with a pen mate or two. Experts say this facilitates
ideal social eating behavior.
The overall larger size promotes efficiency. Feed
spaces are 14" (356 mm) wide and 12" (305 mm) deep, providing 70%
more headroom than traditional finishing feeders. Solid dividers
mean smaller pigs can't get trapped in feeders. The added headroom
allows larger pigs to stand and eat more naturally, reducing feed
waste and increasing consumption.
Fewer
feed spaces needed per pen - the larger size of feed spaces
means up to 10 pigs can be allotted to each space.
Farmweld Jumbo Feeder's taller 36" (914
mm) height means greater hopper capacity without adding extension
boxes. Height limits pigs from eating from the top and keeps them
away from the drop tubes.
Moving feed gate agitation system with easy
top adjustment reduces waste and optimizes feed intake. Feed
access can be made to match pig size and ability. Feed flows evenly
and does not wick up moisture from feed trough. Stainless steel
hardware adjusts freely for the life of the feeder.

100%, #304 stainless steel with fully hemmed
edges and reinforced corners means a better return on your investment.
Ends, dividers and agitator slides are heavy-duty,16-gauge stainless
steel. Feeders are highly durable, resisting corrosion and damage
by pigs. They clean out easily and thoroughly.
