Select New SuperClick™ for precision and accuracy
Mark Steidinger
Precision and accuracy were two important reasons Mark Steidinger opted for the new Farmweld SuperClick™ Wet-Dry Feeder when he and his brother Matt and Matt’s father-in-law, Art Lehman, built a 2,500-head, double-wide wean-to-finish facility recently near Strawn, IL. They also purchased Farmweld gating with stainless steel post bases.
The SuperClick Wet-Dry Feeder offers a revolutionary design for click feeders because it features only one single click lever to control the settings for the entire feeder. Each click adjusts the feed agitator in 1/32” increments for a total of 21 different feeding positions. That makes it ideal for the finely tuned adjustment necessary for starting and growing pigs.
With just a single click lever, the SuperClick “is very easy to adjust,” says Mark. The user-friendly numbering system indicates the selected adjustment setting and makes it easy to instruct others to perform the desired settings. “You can pick a number to set them at, and then it is easy to monitor and adjust if needed,” says Mark.
"Proper feeder adjustment is really important given today's high feed costs," says Mark.
The SuperClick is manufactured from high quality materials and features stainless steel for the hopper and the wide, deep feed trough. Fully-hemmed end panels add strength and reinforced, gusseted foot plates offer stability for bolting to slats. Edstrom nipples are also included in the feeder.
Mark says it is important to buy quality equipment with longevity to match the longer financing period typical for swine barns these days. “Fifteen years ago barns were financed for seven years, then we went to 10 and now we are at 12 and possibly going to 15 years,” says Mark. “That’s why it is important that equipment lasts a long time.”
